We recently had a short trip to Eyre Peninsula, South Australia.
Day 1
We left Adelaide and headed north to Balaklava, about 100 km from home, where we stopped for a short break from driving and had a look around this lovely old town and of course we found a nice cafe for a cup of coffee before we set off again.

From Balaklava we headed to the small town of Blyth, another very small town of approximately 300 people, but it is a lovely town, and one we have enjoyed on other trips. They have a private theatre which has been renovated and can be booked for groups. and is a great day out and not far from the Clare Valley.

Our next stop was Koolunga, another small town, where we stayed the night in the free camping area at Bunyip Park.

Our first day on the road was great and we enjoyed our relaxing ramble through some lovely old towns. Our overnight stay at Bunyip Park in Koolunga was made even better as a local man came along with fresh farm eggs for sale and of course we couldn't say no to them and we enjoyed a chat too as he has lived in the town for many years.
