Prospect Hill

The Prospect Hill Museum and other buildings
A few weeks ago we decided visit the Prospect Hill Museum as my husband grew up in this area and he was interested to have a look around and as it was a lovely sunny day we thought a Sunday drive would be a good way to spend an afternoon.    Prospect Hill Museum is open every Sunday.

Prospect Hill is about 60 km south of Adelaide and is near Kuitpo Forest and Mt Magnificent Conservation Park.

The drive from Tea Tree Gully to the South Eastern freeway took us through the eastern suburbs and once we were on the freeway  and through the tunnels it wasn't long before we were in the "country", well at least we were out of suburbia.
The tunnel on the freeway has taken the thrill out of a drive in the hills, as we remember the Devils Elbow and seeing how fast we could get around it - those were the days!

We stopped on the Echunga road and I couldn't resist taking a photo of our old Jag - she still  looks so good.

A few more km's and we were in Hahndorf.

The wisteria on one of the old buildings was so lovely and worth taking a photo and against the old stonework it looked perfect.

Inside one of the sheds - one man's junk is another man's treasure - so the saying goes!
